This mascara has the EXACT same tube as the CoverGirl Lash Blast. Both brands are owned by Procter & Gamble. I don’t know how this mascara compares to the Lash Blast because the last time I used Lash Blast was when it first came out over a year ago. Then there’s also the fact that the Lash Blast I used was not waterproof. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if the Lash Blast and Lash Plumper ended up working exactly the same though. Cover Girl is cheaper…
Anyway, I’m liking this mascara! The brush prevents clumping. I do have one problem though. The packaging is so big and bulky. Why do they think it’s a great idea to have a fat tube? I find it hard to grasp. I think if this tube was more slim and had a curvy shape, it would be much easier to handle. I’m not sure whether I like this one more or the MAX Factor Volume Couture. I think the Volume Couture looks better after one coat, while this mascara is able to layer on coats well. The Volume Couture starts clumping and drooping after one coat. Overall, I’m really pleased with MAX Factor’s mascaras.
edit: I tried this again today and I like it more! I think more than the Volume Couture! It thickened pretty well!

Hey
Im from Scotland and I bought Max Factor’s False Lash Effect mascara and it looks exactly the same as the 2000 Calorie Extreme you have right there.
Actually, maybe it is the same thing!
Same brush, same packaging same company.
Cause the UK doesn’t have Cover Girl, I think False Lash Effect is an excellent alternative cause funnily enough, it’s more or less the same!

I love the 2000 calorie. I was really surprised that there are not many more reviews on it. I haven’t tried the xtreme version yet but to get the same effect I use another eye primer.

How well does this mascara hold the curl? I’m trying to find a mascara that actually holds the curl..the only two mascaras that do this for me are Shiseido’s lasting lift and Maybelline’s XXL waterproof. Thanks!

The last time I used this, I found out that it holds the curl really well! Lasted all day.

Hey Liz! Thanks for all these mascara reviews.
I was doing some research and I heard that Procter & Gamble actually used the exact same LashBlast formula and just repackaged it with the Max Factor brand. I found that to be a bit shocking, what do you think? Anyway, I really like Max Factor’s 2000 calorie mascara (the one with the old packaging) maybe you could try it some time.

It looks very nice on you, but judging by the fact that the same company owns these mascaras, I won’t be buying it, lol. I didn’t like lash blast at all to be honest.
